ELECTRICAL AND I&C TECHNICIANSThe Darling Downs Power Station is currently under construction and will have the latest low emission technology consisting of three gas turbines with a capacity of 120MW each and a steam turbine of 270MW and will be the biggest combined cycle power station in Australia. The station will produce enough power to supply the equivalent of 400,000 Queensland homes. There are exciting opportunities available that will form part of the Maintenance Team ensuring efficient plant operations along with total commitment to safe work practices and the environment. Electrical TechnicianThe Electrician Technician will form part of the day work maintenance team and will be required to meet the challenge of maintaining all electrical equipment on the site. You will receive extensive training and will have access to the OEMs so as to gain first hand knowledge and be part of the commissioning team and moving into commercial operations. A Trade qualification and Electrical Licence is essential. You will have extensive experience in maintaining electrical equipment within a heavy engineering industry. Understanding of electrical equipment including generators, motors, transformers, switchgear and associated protection systems is essential. Instrument & Control TechnicianThe Instrument and Control Technician will form part of the day work maintenance team and will be required to meet the challenge of maintaining all instrument and control equipment on the site. You will receive extensive training and will have access to the OEMs so as to gain first hand knowledge and be part of the commissioning team and moving into commercial operations. You must have an Instrument and Control Trade qualification along with extensive experience working with and maintaining DCS and PLC systems within a heavy engineering industry. Experience with GE MkV speedtronics, GE Fanuc and Alan Bradley PLC would be highly regarded.
