The Darling Downs Power Station is currently under construction and will have the latest low emission technology consisting of three gas turbines with a capacity of 120MW each and a steam turbine of 270MW and will be the biggest combined cycle power station in Australia. The station will produce enough power to supply the equivalent of 400,000 Queensland homes. MAINTENANCE LEADERThe Maintenance Leader will be responsible for the overall strategic maintenance management for generation plant and associated equipment at the Darling Downs Power Station. The principal accountabilities of the role will include the implementation and development of the computerised maintenance management system, management of the contractual services maintenance agreement and supervision of a small team of maintenance technicians. You will have an engineering degree, post trade or trade qualification. Management experience in a similar role is essential along with substantial experience in the maintenance of gas / steam turbine generation equipment within the power generation or similar process industry is preferred.
